Picture not mine, but I didn't even know this book existed until I stumbled into a brand new copy at a bookstore early this afternoon. Best impulse buy ever? Best impulse buy ever. And no, it's not a Brazilian edition, if it were it would have costed twice as much and would probably have been printed in Black & White and in coarse paper. And with entire sections cut off to cut costs. Still, I never even thought a book like this would be available at a general bookstore, let alone one in Brazil, so finding it felt just like finding a Zelda Dungeon Treasure, I just walked into the back of the store and suddenly there were those golden triangles shining at me.
Awesome.

I left it at the body shop wednesday afternoon and it should be ready this next wednesday or a couple days earlier. According to the shop owner, no panels will have to be replaced, save for the grille, which had a small crack towards the passenger side and aftermarket grilles usually align nice enough not to look like crap.
The radiator was the only thing that needed replacing, as the impact cracked part of the plastic cover on the passenger side, but at least the crash didn't affect engine/transmission/suspension/alignment. I just hope everything's back to normal by wednesday and that I can put this embarrassing episode behind me, haha...

That's exactly what was playing in my head as I picked it up!

Cool! Good to hear that you will get it back (almost) as good as before.

Haha, yeah, hopefully they'll be able to straighten out all the damage, as they stated it wasn't as extensive as it looked like. I already had the chance to drive it, when we took it to the shop (with no bumper and no front license plate to boot), and I didn't notice any changes in behaviour, so hopefully there won't be any cosmetic scars either.
But I gotta be more careful from now on, I think I let the city traffic mentality creep too deep into my head and turn my chillaxed driving into a douchy driving... the kind of driving that cuts other people off because they cut people off and speeds between speed radars because I know where they all are.
